To participate in Lobby Day, you must register in advance.
It is your responsibility to make appointments. Please read the specific instructions on this, since it requires tasks in advance.
GETTING AROUND SACRAMENTO
Sacramento can be quite warm in the summer. Remember to dress appropriately and wear comfortable shoes to get around. The hotel (where we will start) is a short (2-3 blocks) walk to the Capitol. We’ll provide a map as part of your Lobby Day packet.
Briefing for Participants at the Hotel, 10:00-11:00 am
Walk to the Capitol, 11:00 am – 11:15 am
Meetings with Legislators, 11:15 am – 4:00 pm
Return to Hotel for Debrief* and Refreshments, 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm
*The LWVC Advocacy team will be on hand to debrief your meetings
Lobby Day participants will be meeting to discuss at least two bills – one for Assembly Members, and one for state Senators. You’ll need this information when you make your appointments.

We will send you briefing material on each bill by May 26. In addition, we’ll have copies of all the material for you on each bill on June 1.
