Convention awards are a chance to highlight some of the extraordinary work your League has done during the past two years.
There are three award categories. Please click on the link of the award title to submit an award nomination:
- Engaging Underserved Communities – Award winners in this category will be selected for successfully demonstrating their ability to engage underrepresented communities (young people, low income Californians, new citizens, ethnic or other underrepresented groups) to become civically involved.
- Promoting League Visibility – Award winners in this category will be selected for effectively using either: 1) a broad range of communications platforms (online and mainstream) or, 2) a single platform, to create League visibility by reaching more voters, potential members, media and the public on state, national, and/or local issues.
- Making Democracy Stronger – Award winners in this category will be selected for effectively showcasing their work to effect change around a key issue that strengthens democracy in their community.
Leagues are welcome to submit as many applications as you’d like. Deadline for submitting a nomination is Friday, April 5. Questions? Contact Helen Hutchison.
Caucus Room Request Form
Please complete the Caucus Room Request Form and return it to the LWVC office before Monday, April 15 if you would like a meeting room to host a caucus. Caucus room sizes vary and need to be approved by the Convention Committee.
The Convention Marketplace is where Leagues can sell League-related items. You will be able to find League branded totes, t-shirts, pens, and pins that are great for gifts for board members or speakers, or for personal use!
We are now accepting applications for merchandise tables and information-only tables at the Convention Marketplace. There is a flat fee of $25 if you wish to sell merchandise. If you are interested in an information-only table, there is no charge, but be aware that merchandise tables have priority.
